2 months

Little Kermit is almost 2 months old already. He's growing so fast. We have his 2 month checkup tomorrow. I'm excited to see how much he weighs but i know he's going to get some shots. I'm not to excited about that part. Then we have a WIC appointment and an appointment to get his name changed. I can't wait to get his name changed so I can get his real birth certificate. hopefully before we move.  Kai's been cooing a lot more and smiling more too. When he smiles I just light up inside. Its the most amazing feeling in the world. Hopefully when we go to the doctor we will get something for his reflux. I hate the fact that he has reflux and there's nothing I can do to help him. He was wearing red for baby Scarlett in this picture. Right now he's sleeping in his bouncie seat right next to me. I can't help but keep looking over at him. He's just so perfect.

Kai Raymond!

November 8th 2010 was a normal day. I spent the day cleaning, painting, hanging pictures, all around just nesting. Getting ready for my little man to arrive. I was 4 days away from my due date (November 11th) and I didn't have any signs of labor. However at 12am on November 9th I stood up to go to the bathroom and leaked a tiny bit of amniotic fluid. So I went to the bathroom. I started to walk around the house thinking my water would break and gush all over the place like you see in movies. Well I walked for a while, I wasn't have any contractions, and nothing happened so I went back to bed. But i couldn't sleep. I kept getting up to go to the bathroom. At about 2:30am I went to the bathroom and there was a little blood so I woke up Chris. He called his mom and she came to take us to the hospital. By the time she got there I had my first contraction. Which just felt like a very mild stomach cramp. As she drove I called my family and let them know I was on my way to the hospital. it took about 45 mins to get to the hospital. Once there she parked and I was able to walk into the ER. I told the lady at the front desk I thought I was in labor. She sent us up to Labor and delivery where I signed in and gave a urine sample. At that time I was bleeding pretty heavily and nervous something was wrong. The nurse got me hooked up to the monitors and checked to see if my water had broke and It had. I guess when I went to the bathroom It broke and I didnt realize it. She checked to see how much I was dilated and I was already 5cm!  So she took me to my room and got everything set up. I started contracting more but they didn't hurt really bad at all. The anesthesiologist came in to give me my epidural and I couldn't stop shaking. It took them four or more tries to get the epidural in my back and that was super uncomfortable. Finally it was in and they started me on Pitocin to get my contractions stronger. That made Kai's heart rate drop with every contraction. So they had to turn off the pitocin, give me oxygen, and I had to lay all the way back with a pillow under my side. They also switched all the monitors to internal ones. plus i had a catheter. I kept thinking man I have a bunch of stuff coming out of my vajaja.  I was like that for about an hour or more and it sucked. finally they turned the pitocin back on and everything was going good until I started getting heartburn and I felt sick. I had to throw up but I couldn't get up because of the epidural so I had to puke in a bucket in front f everyone. That sucked pretty bad. Then the nurse asked if i was feeling pressure and I was so She checked me and It was time to push. So she went to get Dr. Myers. They rushed to get everything ready as I started pushing. Chris holding one leg and his mom holding the other. Which was kinda weird but i knew she wanted to be there. I was kinda sad my mom couldn't be there. So a pushed, it didn't seem like very long I didn't really have a sense of time, but at 12:39pm on November 9th 2010 my little muffin was born. I was expecting him to weigh at least 8lbs but when they told me 6lbs 14oz I was shocked. He was 18 and 3/4 in long, and he's perfect!!
